Section 11
Misleading, false or fictitious information may be retained

(1) In relation to the complaint application or information received in relation to any offense mentioned in Schedule-1 or Schedule-2, the relevant person or the whistleblower, if such application or information is misleading, false or fictitious, if it is not necessary to investigate or if it is found to be futile, the relevant police office or the relevant investigation The officer will have to send a report to the concerned public prosecutor's office within three days after discovering the same.
(2) After receiving the report in accordance with sub-section (1), if the relevant public prosecutor's office does not find reasonable grounds for immediate investigation in relation to such offense, it shall be immediately placed in custody so that investigation can be conducted when additional evidence is obtained or it is appropriate to conduct an immediate investigation after studying the nature of the incident. If found, the investigation officer can be instructed to investigate further.
(3) In accordance with sub-section (2), if the public prosecutor's office instructs to conduct an investigation, the relevant investigation officer shall conduct an investigation in relation to such offence.
